Designing

Wax Modeling / Wax Tree (for Casting) and Castimg

Wax Model: A jewelry piece model is made from wax in casting techniques, either by hand or with a 3D printer.

Crafting and Refining: The wax is crafted to the correct shape and refined to match the final design.

Wax pieces are soldered on a stem in a process called 'treeing'. A spruce is attached to each piece at a 45-degree angle from the stem. Lighter items go on top, heavy ones on the bottom.

Jewellery Casting involves complex processes, requiring experienced casters. Wax tree placed in flask with chemical powder solidifies, then heated to melt wax and create metal cavity. Molten metal poured in, cooled, and jewellery revealed in casting form.

Finishing

Cleaning: Once the casting has cooled and solidified, the piece is cleaned of any residual mold material.

Soldering: If the piece requires assembly (e.g., setting stones, attaching clasps), parts are soldered together using a high-temperature torch.

Polishing: The jewelry is then polished to achieve a smooth, shiny surface. This can be done manually or with machines.

Stone Setting: If the piece includes gemstones, they are carefully set into the metal. This can be done in various ways, such as prong, bezel, or channel settings
